Eastman Division receives ISO 9001: 2000 certification. (Industry News).

Eastman Chemical Co., Kingsport, TN, has announced that its Accurate Dispersions Division has received ISO 9001: 2000 certification by Quality Management Institute (QMI), an independent, third-party registrar. By the end of 2003, Eastman expects 24 of its operating units to receive ISO 9001: 2000 certification.
ISO 9001 requires that quality standards be consistent in processes and operations to help ensure reliable, quality products, services, customer satisfaction, and reduced waste. During the year-long certification process, quality systems were examined throughout Accurate's operations--from human resources and employee training, to product research, design, and manufacturing, to purchasing and customer service delivery.
