Society Education Chair, Ron Obie, of the Wood Coatings Research Group, discussed the possible funding of a research internship in conjunction with University of North Carolina, Greensboro. The project would deal with the study of the viability of HPLC as a research tool for studying partitioning behavior of coalescent aides.

Society President, Scott Van Remortel, of Unimin Corp., gave a presentation on "NEPHELINE SYENITE FILLERS AND EXTENDERS."
