In a survey conducted by Accenture and released in early August, mid-level business executives felt the current economic downturn provided opportunities to add value to their businesses. Even with the tragic events of September 11th, the continuing slowdown in US and global economies still offers the possibility of enhancement for businesses.
According to Accenture, executives surveyed felt technology investments over the past two years in supply chain management (38%), customer relationship management (29%), and enterprise resource planning (22%) were most beneficial.
