* Pier 1 Imports has named APL its Carrier of the Year. Pier 1 awarded this honor to APL after assessing and comparing the carrier's performance to other logistical partners as well as merchandise vendors around the globe. This marks the third time since 1999 that Pier 1 recognized APL with this award.
Over the past 12 months, APL has won similar recognition from Sears, Philips Electronics, and the Journal of Commerce.
