Questar Corp. announced the appointment of Charles B. Stanley as executive vice president and chief operating officer of its Questar Market Resources subsidiary. Stanley, 43, a graduate of Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, began his professional career in 1981 as a research and field geologist for the Virginia Geological Survey. Most recently, he held the position of CEO for El Paso Oil & Gas Canada Inc., where he oversaw a seven-fold increase in production in his first year.

Smiles Against Hate appointed Lynette Phillips as its first director of development and public relations. She will be responsible for the organization's fundraising, communications, media relations and program development. Phillips recently served as director of public affairs for the Utah Department of Transportation and held positions with the Intermountain Donor Association and the American Heart Association. A graduate of the Master in Public Administration program at the University of Utah, Phillips has served on numerous committees and coalitions.

Clark K. Taylor has rejoined Van Cott, Bagley, Cornwall & McCarthy as a shareholder after serving as vice president and general counsel of a steel service center and distributor with operations in the Western United States. Taylor is a member of the firm's business and litigation sections and will focus his practice in the areas of business, real estate and family law. He earned his Bachelor of Science from the University of Utah in 1982 and his Juris Doctorate from Brigham Young University in 1988.

Maggie St. Claire has been named executive director of Catholic Community Services of Utah. Previously, St. Claire held several positions with KSL TV, including vice president of marketing and community affairs. In that capacity, she planned and produced station promotion for KSL TV and KSL Radio, both on-air and within the community. In her 14 years with KSL, she created and produced seven community service campaigns that included public service announcements, documentaries and special programming. St. Claire earned a bachelor's degree in broadcast journalism from the University of Utah in 1981.

ClearOne Communications Inc. has named Eugene Kuntz chief operating officer. Kuntz will be responsible for all operational aspects of ClearOne, including the company's engineering and manufacturing functions. Kuntz has been with ClearOne since Nov. 1999, most recently serving as vice president of development and operations. Prior to joining ClearOne, he was in various management and development positions for Computer Sciences Corp. Kuntz earned a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Montana State University and a Master of Business Administration degree in management and finance from Utah State University.

TenFold Corporation announced the appointment of Dudley Morris as senior vice president. Morris will take principal responsibility for developing TenFold's strategic approach and sales to large organizations, particularly within the healthcare sector. Previously, Morris served as vice president of CSC's Healthcare Group and as the national director for the Healthcare Group's Managed Care Consulting Practice. A graduate of Yale University, Morris has been published in professional journals and lectured on health policy at industry seminars and business schools.

Sento Corporation announced the appointment of Patrick F. O'Neal as the company's president and chief executive officer. O'Neal brings sales and marketing, large account management and contract negotiation experience to Sento. He most recently served as managing director of Digital Lighthouse Corporations and president of Brokerage Administrators Corporation, a wholly-owned subsidiary and licensed broker/dealer of Digital Lighthouse that staffed and supervised the SEC-licensed staff working with two accounts, American Express Brokerage and lnstinet.com.
