Enterprise applications market will reach S78 billion by 2004.

Driven by the need to transform companies into e-businesses, the enterprise applications market is expected to reach $78 billion by 2004, representing an overall compound annual growth rate of 24 percent over the next five years. That's according to a study produced by AMR Research Inc., a market analysis firm specializing in e-business strategy and infrastructure.

AMR Research defines the enterprise application market segments as core ERP, ERM, SCM and e-commerce applications. The firm predicts total revenue for this market will grow from $27 billion in 1999 to $78 billion in 2004.
