On March 16, the United States Government Accountability Office released a report regarding contracting issues related to the 2005 Gulf Coast hurricanes. The report was specifically aimed at assessing the planning and oversight of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and the General Services Administration during and after Hurricanes Katrina and Rita.
