As the hoteling concept is implemented in more organizations, specific design elements have been evaluated and modified to facilitate hotelers' unique requirements.

To maximize leased space and cost efficiency, Ernst & Young's Management Consulting Group has made a substantial investment in the hoteling concept. Because much of its professional staff spends a considerable amount of time at a client's facility, E&Y found hoteling allowed it to eliminate unnecessary space while maintaining serviceable workstations for its transient professionals.
