A new music library fits snugly into the courtyard of Yale's main library

For 20 years, Yale University searched for a suitable site for its music library. Housed for years in the university's 82-year-old music school, the music library collection had outgrown its space by the early 1970s. By the early 1990s, its materials were housed in at least four different campus buildings.
