The executives of Chiron Corp. admired the architecture of Mexico City architect Ricardo Legorreta so much that they commissioned him to be the design architect for the company's new 286,000-sq.-ft. Life Sciences Center in Emeryville, Calif., as well as to develop the master plan for its planned 25-acre campus.
