E.I. DU PONT DE NEMOURS & Co., once again the largest chemical company in the world in terms of sales, has been playing it comparatively cool when in comes to discussing its plans and making its moves in the Asia Pacific. The company does not dwell on the billions spent or to be spent in Asia.
But David W. Colcleugh, president of DuPont Asia Pacific Ltd., in a recent interview, says it is clear that DuPont has aggressive growth plans for the Far East. And the strategy and its implementation, worked out "interdependently" with DuPont management around the world, comes down to "we follow the markets."
