PROCTER & Gamble Co. has made a new addition to its Tide family of products with the introduction of Tide High Efficiency (HE). The new product, which will be available this summer, is formulated to provide better cleaning and stain removal when used in new high-efficiency washing machines, P&G says.
Tide HE is formulated to maximize cleaning and minimize sudsing in the new washing machines, the company adds. P&G says that due to the tumbling action in high-efficiency machines, current detergents that are formulated for top loaders could create over sudsing and interfere with the machine's operation. "We have been working closely with the laundry machine manufacturers to ensure that our joint consumer will receive the best cleaning possible," says R. Kerry...
