THE INTERNATIONAL Pharmaceutical Excipients Council (IPEC) has widened its focus beyond its original mantra of harmonization. Regulatory issues and enhanced member support are now garnering more of the organization's attention. The excipient industry is evolving due to advances in science and materials as well as the demands of an increasingly global pharmaceutical community.
