Agency plans to release detailed information about US chemical plants DESPITE CONCERNS expressed by federal law enforcement and intelligence professionals and its own contractors, Environmental Protection Agency is going ahead with plans to make available on the Internet highly detailed information about US chemical plants and other industrial facilities.
"Although intended to provide the public and federal, state and local officials with information on hazards of our modern industrial society, the F PA plan will also make an abundance of new and more detailed 'targeting quality' information available to terrorists and extremists, both here and abroad," warns a new report by the Chemical Manufacturers Association.
