Frost & Sullivan Issues Awards, Releases Study.

Chemical Market Reporter, September, 1998

FROST & SULLIVAN INC., a consultancy based in Mountain View, Calif., has presented its 1997 market engineering customer focus award to Stephan Company. Frost & Sullivan gave its product innovation award to Ajinomoto for developments in amino acid-derived surfactants, and the consultancy's entrepreneurial company award went to Chemron for high-quality products and services.

Frost & Sullivan has also issued a new study of the US surfactants market that highlights two trends in the industry: the move to specialties and consolidation. "The market is favoring large commodity and small specialty manufacturers, so expertise in specific products or applications is the key to maintaining or increasing revenue in the surfactant market," says Canaan Chem, a Frost & Sullivan analyst.
