MIGLITOL-Pharmacia & Upjohn is acquiring Bayer AG's and Bayer Corporation s marketing rights to miglitol in the US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. Pharmacia & Upjohn will market the drug, which is a treatment for type II diabetes, under the tradename Glyset Tablets. The agreement also provides Pharmacia & Upjohn with rights to market Glyset for future over-the-counter use.
