PRAXAIR INC. has purchased the assets of the healthcare and carbon dioxide businesses of GP Industries Inc., Bayamon, Puerto Rico. Terms were nor disclosed. The healthcare business, formerly Oxycare, supplies medical-grade oxygen and related equipment throughout Puerto Rico to people requiring home medical treatment for respiratory illnesses.
The carbon dioxide business, formerly Carbonic Corporation, includes delivery trucks and storage tanks as well as mini bulk tanks primarily at restaurants and food and beverage processing locations. Both businesses will be integrated into existing Praxair operations.
