ALPHARMA Inc., Fort Lee, N.J., has received new approvals from Food and Drug Administration for its animal health division products. FDA has approved the combined use of Coban (monensin, 90-110 g/ton), 3-Nitro (roxarsone, 22.7-45.4 g/ton) and BMD (bacitracin methylene disalicylate, 100-200 g/ton) in broiler chicken feed to prevent coccidiosis, increase weight gain and control necrotic enteritis.

In addition, FDA has approved the combined use of Coban (90-110 g/ton), 3-Nitro (22.7-34 g/ton) and BMD (100-200 g/ton) for the same indications.
