Chemical Producers Form Alliances To Serve Semiconductor Manufacturers.

IN TWO SEPARATE deals last week, companies launched alliances to improve their offerings to the semiconductor industry. The moves indicate an acceleration of a partnering trend that has been building in the electronic chemicals industry during the past year. One of the deals struck last week was a global marketing alliance between Arch Chemicals and Air Liquide.

The agreement calls for the two to mutually promote each other's complementary services to the chip makers they serve. The companies say the alliance includes all the gases and chemical products and services that semiconductor manufacturers require, providing a complete solution which simplifies operations and optimizes costs.
