Sen. Hatch says Judiciary Committee will consider a bill in June despite opposition from lawyers. SENATE JUDICIARY Committee chairman Orrin Hatch (R-Utah) says his panel will consider class action reform legislation in June, with a vote on the controversial issue likely before the July recess.

Sen. Hatch adds that committee staff "can spend the interim few weeks trying to see if there is a way to reach an agreement on a version" of the bill co-sponsored by Sens. Charles Grassley (R-Iowa) and Herbert Kohl (D-Wis.).
