HYUNDAI MOTOR Company has signed an agreement with International Fuel Cells (IFC) to incorporate IFC's fuel-cell power plant in its SUV demonstrator program. The companies will remove the internal combustion engine from a Hyundai SUV and replace it with a 75-kilowatt, hydrogen-fueled power cell. They expect preliminary resuits by the first quarter of 2001.
