CARRINGTON LABORATORIES Inc. received Food and Drug Administration approval to market a new, sterile and preservative-free hydrogel containing Acemannan Hydrogel. Carrington expects to launch the new product by September and will market it under the brand name Ultrex for the management of pressure and stasis ulcers, post-surgical incisions, first- and second-degree burns and skin conditions associated with peristomal care.
