EPA Upgrades Its Website for TRI.(US Environmental Protection Agency; Toxic Release Inventory)(Brief Article)

THE ENVIRONMENTAL Protection Agency has launched a revised version of its Internet data analysis search tool, TRI Explorer, which triples the amount of toxic emissions information previously available. The agency has also issued a 360-page detailed data report on the 1998 Toxics Release Inventory (TRI).

The revised TRI data analysis website, www.epa.gov/triexplorer, provides a range of improvements to the initial tool released in May. Its additional search capabilities include data on facility transfers off-site, as well as waste management, recycling, energy recovery and treatment information.
