NYLSTAR, a 50-50 joint venture between Rhodia, a leading producer of nylon yarn for textiles, and Snia, is expanding its operations in China. A new nylon yarn manufacturing plant has come on at Ying Long in the northern province of Liaoning, through a joint venture between Rhodia and a local partner that produces nylon 6/6.
The manufactured products will be marketed by Nylstar in China and other markets in Asia. The launch of the operation in China enables Nyistarto introduce the product strategies it has pursued in Europe during the past few years to Southeast Asia.
