Huntsman Acquires Indian PU.(Brief Article)

TO STRENGTHEN its polyurethane presence in Asia, Huntsman Corporation will acquire ICI India's polyurethanes business and integrate it into Huntsman Polyurethanes. Earlier this year, the company acquired Orica's Australian polyurethanes business. Huntsman Polyurethanes operates 14 plants in the Asia-Pacific region.

In addition, the company has signed a letter of intent with BASF and Chinese partners to build a 160,000-metric-ton-per-year crude MDI plant outside Shanghai.
