DuPont Expands and Upgrades Global PVB Sheet Production Capacity.(E.I. du Pont de Nemours and Co.)(Brief Article)

THE PACKAGING and industrial polymers unit of E. I. du Pont de Nemours & Co. has begun a series of technology and facility upgrades for its Butacite brand polyvinyl butyral (PVB) sheet business globally. The initial upgrades will get underway with an expansion at the company's Hamm-Uentrop, Germany, facility.

DuPont says that by this year's end, 30 percent more PVB sheeting capacity will be available at Hamm-Uentrop, including new capability to supply jumbo-size PVB interlayer for architectural laminated glass.
