Refiners Urge New Look at Diesel Fuel Rule.(Brief Article)

NPRA to ask Bush Administration to review EPA sulfur content rule. US REFINERS PLAN to ask the incoming Bush Administration to "take another look" at a controversial final rule that would virtually eliminate sulfur in diesel fuel, a top industry official told CMR. Bob slaughter, general counsel for the National Petrochemical and Refiners Association (NPRA), said the regulation issued by the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) on December 21 has the potential to cause severe supply shortages which would cause the pump price of diesel fuel to skyrocket.
