DuPont, Antec vs. FMD.

THE DUPONT CHEMICAL Solutions Enterprise has increased supply efforts to its UK partner, Antec International, to aid farmers who are battling Europe's current epidemic of Foot and Mouth Disease (FMD). DuPont provides its Oxone monopersulfate compound to Antec, which uses it as the active ingredient in its Virkon S, the leading antiviral disinfectant used against FMD.

Antec has been manufacturing Virkon S 24 hours per day since the FMD outbreak reached its present crisis during the past few weeks. Antec expects to produce 54 million liters of the disinfectant within a seven-day period in response to the UK government's emergency FMD containment measures.
