Formosa Plastics Corp. (FPC) has announced that its 70,000-ton-per-year methyl methacrylate (MMA) plant at Kaohsiung, Taiwan, will be operational in the third quarter of 2001. The plant was originally expected to be active in the third quarter of 2000, but the company says the delay has been due to ongoing technical problems.
