WHILE A SLEW of specialty chemicals companies have recently announced sweeping restructuring measures, Rhodia Inc. quietly worked ahead of the curve to put a plan in action to curb costs and streamline its business. Like other chemical companies across the board, Rhodia has felt the squeeze of lagging demand and skyrocketing raw material costs.
