THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT has opened an additional 46 reading rooms where the public can view "worst-case scenario" information about the potential consequences of hypothetical chemical accidents at industrial facilities. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) opened the first five reading rooms at the end of January in Dallas, Denver, Honolulu, San Francisco, and Washington, D.C.
Since February, EPA has opened 10 more reading rooms in Anchorage, Atlanta, Boston, Cincinnati, Kansas City, Mo.; Kansas City, Kan.; Las Vegas, Philadelphia, Seattle, and Wheeling, W.Va.
