ExxonMobil Buys Basell's French Polypropylene Unit.(Brief Article)

The deal includes polymerization and compounding facilities in Lillebonne. FOLLOWING WEEKS of negotiations, ExxonMobil Chemical has purchased Basell's polypropylene and compounding unit in Lillebonne, France. The acquisition includes Basell's 250,000-metric-ton-per-year polymerization facility that produces homopolymers and impact copolymers, as well as its 130,000-metric-ton compounding plant that manufactures materials for the automotive and appliance markets.
