SAP Portals and Baan in Alliance.(Brief Article)

SAP Portals, a wholly owned subsidiary of SAPAG, and Baan, a provider of B2B collaborative commerce solutions, have formed a strategic alliance that will enable Baan customers to integrate disparate software applications into the iBaan Portal. Under the terms of the alliance, technology from SAP Portals will be embedded within the iBaan Portal solution, and Baan will participate in the advisory board of SAP Portals.

The alliance with Bana follows SAP Portals' recenty announced strategy to develop an 'open partnership model that fosters a broad technology and content ecosytem. Baan is part of the Invensys Software Systems division of Invensys PLC, the global automation and' controls group.
