Big River Zinc Expands ZSM.(Brief Article)

Chemical Market Reporter, September, 2001

Big River Zinc Corp., an electrolytic zinc refiner, will boost its zinc sulfate monohydrate (ZSM) production to 28,000 tons per year. The company will target animal feed, fertilizer and industrial buyers. Big River, a subsidiary of Korea Zinc Co. Ltd., currently produces 7,000 tons per year of ZSM.

The expansion, to be completed by June 2002, is in response to the closure of a ZSM Bay Zinc Co. plant and the ownership change of Big River's ZSM marketer Tetra Micronutrients.
