THE NORTH AMERICAN sodium bicarbonate market is mostly in balance, and pricing is stable with no announced price increases this year. However, producers say that the additional sodium bicarbonate capacity placed in the market this year by new entrant American Soda LLP, which is intended for use in the animal feed market, has created potential oversupply in that segment.
