THE SULFURIC ACID market is oversupplied and has experienced reduced demand from its largest market, fertilizers. However, the industrial market is balanced to slightly tight as a result of lower metal prices, the permanent closing of one Canadian copper smelter, and temporary seasonal smelter and co-producer maintenance turnarounds.
