> DUPONT COMPANY's Packaging & Industrial Polymers unit is raising prices for all grades of Elvanol polyvinyl alcohol by 5c. per pound, effective March 1. The increase applies to all market segments in the US. The company attributes the price hike to "a substantial increase in energy and feedstock costs" and cautions that "the uncertainty of current world events [makes] the prospect for even further cost increases likely."
