Dow Chemical Company's epoxy products and intermediates business will increase the North American list and off-list price of all grades of acetone and phenol by l0c. per pound effective March 1. Both increases include a 5c. per pound temporary voluntary allowance for a net increase in selling price of 5c.
Dow will also increase the price of many of its solvents and intermediates effective April 1 or as contracts allow. The company says the price of 2-ethylhexoic acid, propionic acid, n-butyl acetate, isobutyl acetate, n-propyl acetate and isopropyl acetate will go up by 3c. per pound in North America and $70 per metric ton in Latin America.
