CAUSTIC SODA Dow Chemical Company has increased all pricing on caustic soda, pursuant to a new price schedule, effective April 1 or as contracts permit. For example, diaphragm grade (76 percent [Na.sub.2]O basis), shipped form Freeport, Tex., or Plaquemine, La., will be $400 per ton. The current list prices for caustic will have applied to them a $150 per ton temporary voluntary allowance (TVA) that can be removed at any time. The company's intent will be to notify its customers by the 25th of each month as to the TVA level for the following month. In addition, effective March 1, Dow has reinstated its 100 percent order control program on caustic soda, which was previously announced last October 25. Dow has also removed the $30 per ton TVA announced last December 30....
