Saudi Basic Industries Corp. (Sabic) and Sud-Chemie AG have agreed to acquire Scientific Design Company Inc. (SDC) of Little Ferry, N.J., from Linde AG. Sabic and Sud-Chemie will manage SDC through a 50-50 joint venture. SDC will remain an independent entity and continue to license its processes, provide engineering services and sell catalysts worldwide.
