Quality King Distributors will reportedly mean higher prices for discount retailers who will no longer be able to pass on savings to consumers, according to Lee Sandler, general counsel for the American Free Trade Associations (AFTA).

An amendment to a bill passed by the US House of Representatives, would revise the " first sale doctrine" and reverse the Supreme Court's ruling in L'Anza v. Quality King Distributors regarding parallel market discount goods.
