Customers use credit cards for faster orders and delivery. Retailers use credit cards for efficiency in processing. Unfortunately, processing credit cards for orders can also create problems, both for the retailer and the consumer.

Contact centers that batch process credit card orders are often burdened with the task of human intervention at some point in the payment process. Sometimes an agent has to re-contact a customer regarding an order. Other times it's the accounting department that needs to clear up a credit issue.
