FIT Setting Up Advanced Tech Center for Military Uniforms

Fashion Institute of Technology is establishing an Advanced Apparel Manufacturing Technology Demonstration Center as the result of a three-year, $5 million to $10 million program funded by the Defense Logistics Agency of the Department of Defense, New York City, New York State and private business.

Purpose of the center is to develop programs of technical assistance and research in the production of military uniforms and to provide civilian manufacturers with new ways to increase their productivity.
