Beene Shirt Line to Debut at Bergdorf's NEW YORK -- The Designer Group division of The Van Heusen Group of Companies has introduced a dress shirt collection, Geoffrey Beene Couture, which will be launched at Bergdorf Goodman and will subsequently be distributed nationally for fall '89.

The shirts will be introduced at Bergdorf's Tuesday, as part of the week's storewide Geoffrey Beene promotion. Bergdorf's is having the promotion in conjunction with a retrospective exhibit on Beene's career opening at the National Academy of Design here.

The new Couture dress shirt collection will feature 12 different fancy patterns, all in 100 percent Swiss cotton. The collection will retail for approximately $90 to $120, compared to approximately $28.50 to $45 for...
