Daily News Record, January, 1989 by Orgel, David

Nordstrom to Purchase Hahne's Paramus, N.J., Branch NEW YORK -- Nordstrom, Inc., will purchase the Paramus, N.J., branch of Hahne's Department Stores from May Department Stores Co., which will become its third unit slated for the Garden State, Bruce Nordstrom, co-chairman, told DNR Wednesday.

Nordstrom wouldn't give details on the size or nature of the men's wear mix at this store, but said the men's direction would be similar to the other Nordstrom branches. The largest concentration of men's wear at any Nordstrom unit is in the recently opened San Francisco store, where men's wear comprises about 18 percent of the inventory and 21 to 22 percent of total sales, co-chairman Jim Nordstrom said in a previous DNR story.
