NAME ARNOLD COHEN J. CREW PRESIDENT
NEW YORK -- Arnold Cohen, 33, has been appointed president of the J. Crew Group, Inc., a catalog and retail firm specializing in classic, moderate-price apparel and accessories. It is a new post.
Cohen joined the firm last year as senior vice-president of J. Crew Retail, a new division formed to oversee the opening of J. Crew stores, and subsequently was promoted to president of the division. A successor has not been named.
Cohen began his retail career at Bloomingdale's where he was divisional merchandise manager of women's accessories. In 1985, he joined Gucci America, Inc., as vice-president and chief merchandising officer.
