DEBUT SET FOR D.C. FLUSSER STORE

NEW YORK -- The first Alan Flusser store in Washington, D.C., will open before the Christmas season ends, although no exact date has been set.

Before 1990 is out, there will also be a Flusser shop in the expanded Bergdorf Goodman in New York.

The 1,000-square-foot Washington unit will be located on the first floor of a townhouse on Jefferson Place in the DuPont Circle area, and will carry the full line of Alan Flusser men's products, including tailored clothing.

The store will be owned and operated by Mark Rykken, a 17-year veteran of the Washington, D.C.-based Britches chain, through a licensing arrangement with Flusser.
