OPINION: Solid IDEAS: Once again, Bill Robinson was the only American designer to give a show during market week. In a breakfast presentation, the designer talked the audience through a collection that many found more mainstream and more likely to produce bigger numbers for Robinson. The line summed up what could be a major trend: traditionalism tempered with American sensibility. Robinson's attitude is that in the '90s it's unfashionable to project "a killer shark look," so he's leaning toward what he calls "unaggressive," relaxed silhouettes, soft colors and fabrics.
