LIBERTY LAUNCHES SHOP CONCEPT

NEW YORK -- Manhattan Menswear Group is encouraging its retail accounts to install in-store shops or impact areas for its new Liberty of London label dress shirt line.

Lord & Taylor and Dillard Department Stores are among Manhattan's customers planning to install such shops. Marshall Field's will carry the new shirt line, but has no plans to set up instore shops.

Manhattan Menswear has set up a prototype Liberty shop in its Avenue of the Americas offices, which it's using to motivate its accounts to allot space for a Liberty shop. As is the usual practice with in-store shops, Manhattan has several modular fixtures, including cube fixtures and tables, to accommodate different stores' space needs.
