GUESS MOVES TO DISMISS SUIT BY JORDACHE OVER IRS PROBE

NEW YORK (FNS) - A Guess, Inc., attorney said Tuesday that he has moved to dismiss a billion-dollar lawsuit filed last January against Guess principals by Jordache Enterprises, Inc.

The lawyer called the suit filed in New York State Supreme Court "trivial, stupid and a waste of the court's time."

Without fanfare, Jordache took its longstanding feud with Guess to a New York court, where it charged the owners of the jeans manufacturer, importer and licenser with orchestrating the criminal tax and customs fraud investigation of Jordache through improper contacts with various law enforcement officials.
